Southern Martin Co., Ltd. ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights.
What we collect
When you create an account or use one of our products, we collect:
- Account information — your email address, name, and password (stored hashed).
- Usage data — which features you use, how often, and basic device information (operating system, app version) to improve our products.
- Content you submit — text you send to our products (e.g. text you ask DraftRight to rewrite). This is processed to deliver the service.
- Payment data — handled by our payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, Lemon Squeezy). We do not store full card numbers.
What we don't collect
- We do not sell your data to third parties.
- We do not use advertising IDs.
- We do not access your contacts, photos, location, or microphone unless you explicitly enable a feature that requires it.
How we use your data
We use the data we collect to:
- Provide and improve our products.
- Authenticate you and protect your account.
- Process payments for paid plans.
- Communicate with you about your account, our services, and updates.
- Comply with legal obligations.
Third-party services
We use a small number of third parties to operate our products:
- Cloud hosting — DigitalOcean for our backend infrastructure.
- Payment processing — Stripe, PayPal, Lemon Squeezy.
- AI providers — OpenAI and Anthropic process text submitted to our products. They do not use this data to train their models when accessed through us.
- Email delivery — Resend for transactional emails.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your account and associated data at any time.
- Export a copy of your data.
- Opt out of non-essential communication.

Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it (e.g. for tax records).
Data security
We use industry-standard practices: HTTPS for all traffic, encrypted databases, hashed passwords, and least-privilege access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously.
Children
Our products are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy occasionally. We'll post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated by email when possible.
